Mancala Classic (Strategy Game)
Mancala is the ancient game of counting and strategy. Players challenge
their friends in two player mode. Single player mode includes three
levels of difficulty.
Object of the game
Each player attempts to collect as many stones as possible before
one of the players clears his of her side of snails.
The board or Table
Each player has a side of the board. (top and bottom). The six cups
nearest each player belong to him or her and their large jars of
mancala is to the right.
How to play
Players alternate turns. In his or her turn each player selects
a cup of stones from one box on his or her side of the board. Each
stone is placed one by one in the cup in the cups around the board,
including his mancala but not the opponents mancala. Example: If
there are 4 stones in his or her cup one stones will be placed into
each of the next 4 cups. If the last stone lands in the players
own mancala, that player goes again. If the last stone stops on
a empty cup on the players own side, he captures all the stones
from the opponents cup directly opposite that box.
The game is over when a player has no more stones in play on the
board. The winner is the player with the greatest total of stones
in his or her mancala and any remaining stones on his or her side
of the board. |
